We wish to continue our exploration of why some people don’t feel comfortable being fully in the body.

Some people don’t like their bodies. Perhaps you think it doesn’t look the way it should due to societal expectations. Or maybe you don’t think your body is working as well as it should.

What if we told you your body is your greatest ally? It has been serving you tirelessly from the moment you took your first breath. It is always doing the very best it can no matter how much you judge it, mistreat it, or think the meanest things about it. It is your constant companion and the essential vehicle for you to have every experience your soul wishes to have.

If your body is struggling it deserves even more love and care from you. If you don’t like the way you look, do you have a hand in that? Do you create an environment that allows it to thrive and be all it can be? Does your self talk encourage and appreciate it?

Your body is the unsung hero of your incarnation. We urge you to start accepting it as a physical manifestation of the divine that adds to the mosaic of the whole and start to be its ally. By allowing yourself to acknowledge, love, and appreciate it for all it does and will continue to do until you take your last breath you will become a more unified whole and the dynamic duo you were always meant to be. ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young
