Do you have a habit of depending on others to affirm your mastery? To check to see if you are on the right track? Or that what you sense about a situation is correct? How many times is it confirmed?

If someone disagrees, do you ultimately follow your own knowingness?

There is nothing wrong with conferring with another. We understand that you wish to be wise about your path moving forward. It is good to consider all options. After that it is still time to follow your own heart and wisdom.

You will get to the point where you trust your own capability and inner knowing so well that there is less need to check in with others. When you check with others and then consider all possibilities before you make a decision you are basically trying on the energy to see what fits best.

Think of it this way. Imagine you are in a clothing store for the first time. You might try on all kinds of different sizes and styles. People might give all kinds of opinions about what looks best and is most flattering on you.

But what they can’t tell is what feels right to you, what expresses your unique personality in a way that is pleasing to you, and what fabrics or styles are most comfortable to wear and feel like a true reflection of who you are or how you wish to feel. After a while you no longer need to get other people’s opinions because you know what size you are and what styles, fabrics, and colours you prefer.

So it is with your own mastery and your own path. Many paths may be available to you but only one will fit and feel best to you. Only you can decide that. And after a while you will stop needing to consult others because you will be secure in your truth, your own knowingness, and how you wish to express yourself in the world. ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young
