This is today’s post on the patreon. I felt like it would be reassuring and relatable to a lot of you so I am sharing it here, as well.

It’s Metaphysical Monday! Today I would like to talk about…swinging wildly.

I’m on the verge of a big change. My heart is saying one thing and my mind, predictable little troublemaker that it is sometimes, is finding ways to infuse doubt into what I know. Sheesh. It is like they are in an epic arm wrestling match where they take turns displaying which one is stronger.

Not only are we vacillating between being grounded in what we know and panicking about what we don’t know, we are also swinging between dimensions. There are all kinds of opportunities for us to worry and fall into the temptation to make ourselves be wrong no matter where we are or what we are doing. Here are some common ones…

What if I’m not right?
What if I am right?!
What if I’m not focusing correctly?
What if I am focusing correctly? Is that what I really want?
What if I’m thinking too small?
What if I’m thinking too big?
What if I want to go one direction but my loved ones aren’t on board? Can they sabotage it?
What if it’s my job to pioneer the way forward?
What if I’m not doing enough?
What if I’m doing too much and trying to micromanage the universe?
What if I’m not surrendered enough?
I think I’m in the flow. Am I really in the flow?
What if my beingness really is more than enough?
I’ve got this!
Wait, what if I’m missing something?
What if I’m not ready?
Omg what if I am ready?! What does that mean?

All of this back and forth can lead to exhaustion. A common theme right now is to get to the point where you are just over it!

When you are in the spin of fear, doubt, and tiredness you aren’t wrong. You are a sensitive human being who is an active participant in a monumental shift of consciousness. It wouldn’t be normal if you didn’t feel some or all of these things!

I spent a lot of time last night in prayer and gratitude and I can tell you I slept so well – the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. And I got the most wonderful sign first thing this morning that I am on the right track. It reminded me that simple practices help us get back to our centre point and steady our wobbles.

So be easy on yourselves. We don’t have to know everything. We just have to get back to basics when things get too complicated or unclear. Look for the signs that the universe always gives us to light the path when we can’t figure things out through our mind. Those are the reassurances that always exist to help us stay the course and get where our soul is trying to lead us. You came onto the planet to experience all of this and your soul is super stoked about where you are and where you are going!
