12 Oct Hurricane Recovery Update ~ Wednesday October 12, 2022
Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you an update. Things are slowly beginning to move forward. I got power back after 8 days, only to lose it again for a day after a transformer blew. It happened as soon as we got our first rain after the storm. That has been repaired and we have power again. I think this type of thing is fairly common after such a big event.
The boil water advisory has been lifted, but we still don’t have internet. I haven’t seen my insurance adjuster yet, but he is supposed to be coming tomorrow, so hopefully that will get the ball rolling on repairs. They are estimating that internet should be up by October 15, so fingers crossed! Cell service seems to be improving. I have an appearance on Beyond the Ordinary tomorrow night so I pray my cell service is good enough to complete that call! Please send good vibes for a solid connection. Even better, let’s manifest my internet being turned on and working perfectly before the call!
While we are on the subject of my call…I know a lot of you were looking forward to me presenting about self love. Unfortunately, with everything that’s been happening here I wasn’t able to finish creating that program before this call, so we will be presenting my Journeying Into The New process. If you noticed there was a change of topic, that is why. I will let you all know when the self love program is completed as soon as it’s done. I appreciate your patience and understanding!
While the storm has been very challenging in a multitude of ways, more than anything I have been inspired by the true servants who have shown up in my community to help however they can. From the people who travelled in from out of state to offer warm meals, to help with cleanup, tarping, and other needs, to the mission groups who have come to lend a hand wherever the need is greatest, their boots to the ground service has brought me to tears more than once.
Two of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met – a chaplain and his missionary friend – showed up and prayed with me and my husband in our backyard amidst all the destruction and it is a moment that I will never, ever forget for its purity and love. I still can’t talk about it without crying because it moved me so deeply.
As always, I am so grateful for all of you and your continued love and support. I’m hoping everything will continue to improve so I can get back to work sooner than later. In the meantime I’m being offered lots of opportunities to practice the divine combination of surrender, faith, flow, and trust! Sending you lots of love and am looking forward to connecting with you again very soon.
